Sara + Bryan | MSU Gardens Engagement

I love engagement sessions. Almost as much as I love weddings. Couples are generally more relaxed during their engagement session due to the lack of wedding day stress, so we are able to just take our time and capture lots of love.

On a hot Summer evening at MSU Gardens, I was able to capture the love Sara and Bryan have for each other. It is completely evident that God brought these two souls together.
One of my main goals whenever I am taking photos of people is to make them feel relaxed. If they aren’t relaxed, it will show in the photos every time. These two told me up front they weren’t necessarily huge fans of getting their photos taken. So I started out really slow, creating casual conversations to get to know their personalities and style. By the time the shoot was over, they both agreed they would do it again in a heartbeat!
It makes my heart happy when I hear that. I am looking forward to their wedding this November!

Donuts, Cider, and Bliss

As a Michigan wedding photographer, I truly love engagement photography. I always have. Each session offers time for me to get to know the wonderful couple who booked me for their wedding photography. During each shoot, I try to bring out the personalities of the couple as much as possible. Sometimes, that requires cider and donuts! Many thanks to Phillip's Orchards for allowing us to capture these two in your gorgeous orchards!

Kevin + Jennifer - Frankenmuth, Michigan Engagement Session

What happens when you combine two people completely in love, two dogs full of personality and the beautiful historic city of Frankenmuth, Michigan? This... This is what happens! Kevin asked Jennifer to marry him during the Zehnder's Snowfest in Frankenmuth. After she said yes, they went to the Frankenmuth Brewery to celebrate. So I thought, why not go there for engagement photos? I can't wait to capture these two on their wedding day!
